Why Trending
A Trending alert means a token entered the trending lists that the network reads.
In short: momentum alerts show that something is moving, not why. Michael Degen reads Trending on Solana as a question: who is driving the move, and can the pool absorb it?
Price and volume spikes are common on Solana. Most fade within hours. Michael Degen keeps the Trending feed open to measure how many do not.
One habit: Check whether the move started before or after the first public call. Look at how many distinct buyers joined during the move, not only the volume total.

The rule behind this page. Michael Degen keeps an alert only if it passes all of these:
- market cap at least $10.0K
- at least 50 holders
- top-10 wallets holding at most 30 %
Checked against the latest 48 alerts in the lane (about 4 hours): 21 passed. Those that passed had a median market cap of $373.0K, median liquidity of $31.8K and about 1277 holders. 15 out of 48 alerts showed a pool smaller than a tenth of the cap — a warning sign on its own.
